New Executive Vice President of KDIC was Appointed
The Financial Services Commission (FSC) appointed Mr. Won-Tae Yi as the new Executive Vice President of the KDIC.
Prior to his appointment as Executive Vice President of the KDIC, Mr. Won-Tae Yi served as Customs Policy Administrator at the Tax & Customs Office of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance in 2009. He started his career as a deputy director at the Ministry of Public Administration and Security after passing the 24th National Civil Servant Exam in 1980. From there, he moved to the International Economic Affairs Office of the Economic Planning Board and then the Economy Policy Bureau of the same Board, building his career as an economic policymaker. He was also responsible for international economic affairs in 1995 and policy coordination in 2001 at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. Working abroad, he was Financial and Economic Officer at the Korean Embassy in Belgium in 1997 and worked at the Korean Mission to the EU in 1998. He further honed his expertise in international economic affairs by working at the Seoul Center of the OECD in 2008.
